As we make our move from Snick's Farm to scaling down to mostly gardening at our home farm Willow Garden, we had to make some big changes. We will no longer be raising Livestock to sell, as we don't have enough pasture at Willow Garden to support a grass based diet for sheep or cattle.  If you are looking for local grass fed meats we recommend you contact one of our farm friends:  Greener Grass Farms out of Quincy, MI or Dreamcatcher Farm of Jonesville, MI (Their contact info is on our contact page)

OUR PRODUCE

All our produce sold at our markets, farm stand, or packed in our farm shares is USDA Certified Organic by MOSA. You can follow up on our Certification status at www.mosaorganic.org .

We strive to grow quality produce that taste as good as it possibly can. Every year we research new varieties to keep thing interesting. Now that we are moving our garden to our home farm "Willow Garden", we plan to add more hoop houses and extend our growing season to hopefully offer fresh produce from May-December.

EGGS

We only keep around 60 hens on our farm, which is just enough to keep our coop from being too full.  We use to fed our birds a Non-GMO feed, and sell eggs to Sunrise Poultry.  After a few costly nights of not getting the bird locked in, or dealing with critters that find a way past locked doors we have decided to keep our egg business small and simple.

Since we still like to offer our customers the option of farm fresh eggs we have turned to Sunrise Poultry. Sunrise Poultry is an Amish egg cooperative that raises all Project Certified Non-GMO eggs. Most of their eggs are sold to grocery stores and restaurants, but we have worked out a deal to have their eggs as an optional add-on to our vegetable shares.

OUR CUT FLOWERS

Year after year, our flowers have become a bigger part of our farm stand, as the demand grew we grew more. In 2017 we began selling some to a local florist in Hillsdale "Smith's Flowers". Going into our first year at Willow Garden we decided we should put more effort in to flowers. Seraina decided this would become her venture. She plans to continue growing beautiful Zinnias, Snapdragons and Sunflowers as we have in the past, but she also plans to grow several new flowers including Lupines, Dianthus, Scabiosa (Pincushion Flower), dahlias and several more. We hope in time to have enough confidence to make summer orders for florist and event planners, but for now we intend to have loads of beauties to sell at the Marshall Farmers Market.

CERTIFIED ORGANIC GARDEN PLANTS AND HERBS

We have moved our greenhouse to our home farm, and made some improvements in the process. We bought a new wood furnace, and doubled the size of our heated greenhouse so we can grow more garden starts and herbs for  plants sales.
Starting with strong and healthy plants is the easiest way to guarantee success in the garden. After 8 years of learning to grown Organic transplants for our garden we have learned what it takes to grow consistently healthy garden transplants. We are happy to do custom orders. Our prices are fair and any pre-orders will be discounted from our standard market price. Most our plants sell in 4 inch pots, but we can do flats or garden packs too. We will begin selling the garden starts in mid-May at the Snick's Farm roadside stand and The Marshall Farmer Market. We plan to offer herb pots all summer.
